Literary and Artistic Festival in Zolotonosha (dedicated to the 406th anniversary of B. Khmelnytsky)

In December 2001, the Foundation organized and held a literary and artistic festival: The Land of Bohdan and Taras is the Holy Ukrainian Land in Chyhyryn and Zolotonosha, Cherkasy Region (Ukraine).

The Literary and artistic festival took place in Chyhyryn and Zolotonosha. The festival was dedicated to the 406th anniversary of Ukrainian Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

The event started in Subotov, at the Illinska Church,which was  built by the order of Khmelnytsky. It is also the place where the Hetman is buried. The participants of the festival laid flowers at Khmelnytsky`s monument on Zamkova Hora and moved to Zolotonosha.

The citizens, who made a significant contribution to the development of the region, were honored in Zolotonosha. Then the Head of the Foundation,  Bogdan Gubsky,  was inducted into the Zolotonosha Cossack Regiment. Gubsky was named Cossack “Science”.

A concert was held with the participants including local artists and bands, as well as guest artists from Kyiv, including Nina Matvienko, Anatoly Palamarenko, Dmitry Hnatiuk, actors of the Ivan Franko National Academic Theater
