State Chamber Ensemble Kyiv Soloists (2000-2002)

In 2000-2002, the Foundation worked in successful cooperation with the State Chamber Ensemble Kyiv Soloists.  The ensemble leader Bohodar Kotorovych is the national Artist of Ukraine, famous violinist, laureate of the Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine and Vernadsky Prize.

With the support of the Foundation, the musicians won important international victories for Ukraine. 

The  State Chamber Ensemble Kyiv Soloists, is a dream come true for the world-famous violinist, professor, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize, People’s Artist of Ukraine,  Bohodar Kotorovych (1941-2009). The internationally recognized ensemble, unites talented young musicians of Ukraine.

In 2000, the Foundation supported the participation of three soloists of the ensemble Kyiv Soloists, in the XVI International Chamber Music Competition in Italy. All three musicians Olga Kryvtsova, Oksana Darbin and Bohdana Pivnenko became diploma laureates of the competition.

In July 2001, with the support of the Foundation, Kyiv Soloists took part in the 30th International Festival of Youth Orchestras in Vienna. Ukrainian musicians won the Grand Prix and two first prizes in the following categories: “String Orchestra” and “All Orchestras”. The performances of our virtuosos were highly acclaimed by the Austrian press.
