Ukraine. A Look into the Future – а Screenwriting Contest for the Best Screenplay
Ukraine. A Look into the Future – an all-Ukrainian screenwriting contest for the best screenplay was organized and held by the Foundation with the goal of presenting Ukrainian life during its first 10 years of independence. When the winning film, It’s already our 10th anniversary, was completed it was distributed and shown in 40 countries around the world.
The screenwriting contest was announced by the Foundation in February 2021. Professionals in the spheres of cinema, literature, journalism as well as amateurs joined the contest. The jury received more than 50 scripts.
The writers Ihor Malyshevsky and Bohdan Zholdak; cinematographer Oleksandr Frolov; journalists Oleksandr Mykhailyuta, Anatoliy Karas and Oleksandr Vorobyov; amateurs Lyubov Burlaka from the Demiivka village (Vinnytsia region), and Hryhoriy Chosta from Kramatorsk, became the contest laureates.
- Certificates of Merit were awarded to Lyudmyla Husak from Verkhniy Rohachyk village (Kherson region), Olena Voloshko from the Zhytomyr region, Lyubov Yaskulska from the town of Kamyanka (Cherkasy region) and Svitlana Domina from the Haivoron district (Kirovohrad region).
- The writers Igor Malyshevsky, Bohdan Zholdak and Oleksandr Frolov also received awards from the Foundation.
